The head coach of the Al-Taawoun FC first team Jehad Al-Hussain affirmed the team's readiness to play Al-Nahda (Oman) at the start of its campaign in the AFC Champions League Two, stressing the importance of delivering a performance worthy of the team and returning with a positive result that pleases the Al-Taawoun fans.
This came during the press conference ahead of the Asian match, where Al-Hussain explained that the match carries great importance, and said: “An important match, and the fans are waiting for us to deliver a great performance. It will be a difficult match for both sides, and I am confident in the players and their ability to deliver the required level. God willing, we will return to our usual level, and achieve the result that pleases our fans and makes them happy”.
The head coach pointed to his awareness of the stage the team is going through, affirming his confidence in the players' ability to get past it, and added: “The circumstances we went through were difficult, and I am a son of the club and know well the inner workings of the club and the stage we went through. I expect the players to deliver the level that satisfies us and our fans, and to prove that the team is able to overcome these circumstances and return to its usual level”.
For his part, team captain Achraf El Mahdioui expressed his happiness at returning to take part in the AFC Champions League Two, affirming that the team enters the match with great confidence and a desire to make a positive start.
El Mahdioui said: “I am very happy to be back taking part in the AFC Champions League Two, and excited to play this match. We have great confidence in ourselves and our abilities, and our goal is to deliver a match worthy of the team and return with a positive result that pleases our fans”.
El Mahdioui also sent a message to the Al-Taawoun fans, thanking them for their continued support and constant standing with the team, and said: “I would like to thank our fans for their continued support and constant standing with us. Tomorrow we will give them the best we have on the pitch, and we will do everything we can to return from Qassim with the three points and make them happy”.
