The head coach of the Al-Taawoun FC first team, Serbian Zarko Lazetic, spoke about the team's defeat to Al-Hazem, presenting his technical view of the match and the result, along with a number of aspects related to the team's performance over the past period

Lazetic began his remarks by congratulating Al-Hazem on the win, stressing that Al-Taawoun did not manage to come away with the result they were hoping for despite what they produced in the match, and said: “We congratulate Al-Hazem Club on the win. It is difficult for me to explain the circumstances of the match, but I believe the better team did not get the result it deserved, unfortunately”

The Al-Taawoun coach pointed out that repeated unsatisfactory results require a pause and review by the technical staff and the players, adding: “This keeps happening to us from one week to the next, so we have to reconsider the group and work on correcting the mistakes” Lazetic explained that the team, apart from the Al-Kholood match, was dominant and in possession in most of its matches, and managed to create many chances, but the details and decisive moments had an impact on the results

He said: “If we exclude the Al-Kholood match, we were dominant and in possession in most matches, imposing our style and creating chances, but in the end we lose points. This is something we must deal with seriously, and we have to be better in the details, especially in the decisive moments of matches”

In response to a question about the spaces that appeared in the match against Al-Hazem, the coach explained that the team did not give its opponent many chances, noting that Al-Hazem got only three spaces, one of which came in the last ten minutes after Al-Taawoun pushed forward in search of an equaliser

Lazetic also stressed that the team has not changed its way of playing from one match to another, explaining that in every match Al-Taawoun seeks to press with its full weight and take possession, and to reach the final third with as many players as possible

On how he feels about the recent results, he said: “Yes, I am certainly frustrated. These results were not within our expectations, especially the circumstances of this match. We have to analyse more deeply and review all aspects”

At the end of his remarks, the head coach touched on the attacking side and the injury to player Basim Al-Oraini, stressing that his injury will be assessed in detail, and also pointed to the return of Younes Al-Bahraoui after a period out, affirming that he will be an addition to the team in the coming period
