The board of directors of Al-Taawoun FC, chaired by Mr. Badr bin Hassan Al-Ghannam, has completed the procedures for signing Ecuadorian defender Jhair Colahuazo, who joins the first team during the current sporting season.
The signing of Colahuazo was done on a one-season loan with an option to buy, as part of the club management's moves to strengthen the squad and support the technical staff's options in the coming competitions.
The Ecuadorian defender is 20 years old and stands 196 cm tall, with distinguished physical and defensive qualities, along with a strong presence in aerial duels and the ability to handle defensive situations.
Colahuazo has played 49 matches, scoring two goals and providing one assist, while contributing to his team keeping clean sheets in 7 matches.
At the defensive level, the player recorded notable numbers, having made 64 interceptions and 44 tackles, in addition to winning 87 aerial duels, figures that reflect his abilities in challenges, aerial balls and defensive work.
The signing of Colahuazo comes as part of the club's plan to strengthen the back line with young players who have technical and physical qualities and the capacity to develop, in line with the team's requirements for the season's competitions.
